PY Nuvem reach Mansion House Cup semifinals

MARGAO: Parish Youth Nuvem edged past Cuncolim Union 1-0 in the second quarter-final of the 2nd Mansion House Cup 2024 at the Cuncolim Government School Ground to secure a place in the semi-finals.

Aldroy Quadros scored the decisive goal in the 37th minute to seal victory for Nuvem. Joywin Costa of Parish Youth Nuvem was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Brian Baptista of Cuncolim Union.

Parish Youth Nuvem will face Canacona Sports and Cultural Club in the semi-final on September 22.

MARGAOFatorda Veterans registered a 2-0 win over XYZ Majorda Veterans to advance in the All Goa 24th Veterans Football Tournament, organised by Flame of Unity Sports Club, at the Per-Seraulim Mabai ground on Thursday.In the second half, Fatorda Veterans upped the ante, with striker Francisco Calado scoring both goals to seal victory.For his match-winning brace, Francisco Calado of Fatorda Veterans was declared Man of the Match. The award was presented by Blasco Fernandes.
