Quepem Veterans came from behind to defeat host Sucaldem Veterans 2-1 and moved into the quarter-finals of the 1st all Goa Veterans football tournament organised by Sucaldem Youth Club and played at SYC playground on Wednesday.
Sucaldem Veterans drew first blood when Jose Rebello slotted past the rival goalkeeper with snap shot of Cruz Cabral assist. Quepem Veterans came strongly after change of ends and Elvis Fernandes cancelled the lead in the 50th minute and six minutes later he struck the match winner off Luis Peixote pass to register his brace. Quepem veterans will play Vasco Veterans in the quarter-finals.
