Ram Dhawaskar and Anil Shirodkar of Om Shiv Shambhu-Merces won the beach volleyball title in the men's category at the first all-Goa state Police Cup beach volleyball tournament at Miramar beach on Wednesday. Christie Dias and Steffi Fernandes emerged champions in the women's event.
Christie-Steffi took on Pooja Singh and Prerna Pal Singh in the women's finals. The match proved to be a lop-sided contest as Christie and Steffi won by two straight sets 21-12, 21-7. This match was followed by the men's title clash in which Ram-Anil duo proved too good for Pralhad Dhawaskar and Nitin Sawant of Goa Police,
