RCC Fatorda produced a strong performance at the 57th Goa State Athletics Championship 2026, held in memory of Padma Bhushan Dr Manohar Parrikar, winning 28 medals and three runner-up trophies.
The Fatorda-based club secured the Men’s Runner-Up, Women’s Runner-Up and Overall Runner-Up trophies, underlining the depth of its athletes across age categories.
RCC Fatorda athletes won 12 gold, 11 silver and five bronze medals. Moses Mascarenhas and Xanelle Lacerda were adjudged Best Athletes in the men’s and U-18 girls’ categories respectively, while Archi Katkar was named Promising Athlete in the U-16 girls’ category.
Mascarenhas won gold in the 100m and 200m, while PSI Digambar Bondre claimed gold in the javelin throw.
In the U-20 category, Ganesh Tamburkar won the 800m and 1500m, while Pratik Jadav triumphed in the 400m hurdles. In U-18, Lacerda won the 100m and high jump, while Cwen Pereira topped the 100m hurdles. Archi Katkar won the U-16 pentathlon, with Aanora Gracias and Prosen Mondal taking gold in the 600m and 1000m respectively.
Reegan Cardoso won silver in the men’s 100m and 200m. Ayman Shaikh (U20 100m), Jadav (110m hurdles), and the U-20 4x100m relay team of Tamburkar, Bharat, Jadav and Kanan Gupta were also silver medallists.
In the U-18 category, Aline Peixoto won silver in the 100m. Archi Katkar (60m), Sakshi Naik (600m), Utkarsh Gaonkar (80m hurdles and high jump) and Aradhya Verenkar (U-14 Triathlon B) also secured silver medals.
The bronze medallists were Kanan Gupta (U-20 200m), Nathan Saldanha (U-18 100m and 200m), Cwen Pereira (U-18 high jump) and Sakshi Naik (U-16 80m hurdles).
Adding to the Goa athletics success, Chrisel Soares, representing Goan Athletics under coach Patrick Soares, won silver in the U-14 Kids Javelin event.
