St Sebastian SC Mapusa were crowned champions of the Rosary Cup 2026 after edging FC Siolim 1-0 in the final.
Edwin Viegas scored the decisive goal in the second minute of the match as St Sebastian took an early lead. FC Siolim pushed for an equaliser but found the St Sebastian defence hard to break as the Mapusa side held on for a narrow victory.
Stephan Martin of St Sebastian was named Man of the Match.
FC Siolim received the runners-up trophy and a cash prize of Rs 60,000 from Mandrem parish priest Clifford Cardoz. The champions, St Sebastian SC Mapusa, were presented the winner's trophy and Rs 1,11,111 by Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Gaurav Vaigankar of FC Siolim was adjudged Best Defender, while Manuel Viegas of St Sebastian won the Best Goalkeeper award. Edwin Viegas was named Best Midfielder and Saideep Pomburphekar of FC Siolim received the Best Striker award.
Shaviz Pathan of St Sebastian claimed both the Highest Goal Scorer and Player of the Tournament awards.
