Youth Hostels Association of India, Margao Unit in association with Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs organised the Run For Unity to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhai Patel on October 31 from Davorlim Sports Club Ground to Curtorim, Nessai, Chandor Junction Road and back covering the distance of about 5 km.
Digamber V Kamat, Ex. CM Of Goa and MLA of Margao Constituency who also the President Of YHAI Margao Unit flagged off the event.
Participation certificates and refreshments were provided to the participants.
Earlier, the portrait of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was garlanded by the Margao MLA.
John Fernandes, Asst. Director, Sports and Youth Affairs, Motiram Desai, APEO, Tulsidas Desai, ZSO, Manthan Adpaikar of DSYA were present on the occasion along with the executive members of Association.
