Salcete Football Club defeated Maina Sports Club 4-1 in the GFA U13 II division league on Tuesday at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda. Salcete Football Club dominated the match right from the beginning. Salcete opened the scoring through Shanon Endro in the 2nd minute. The winners doubled the lead through Treston Fernandes in the 19 minute. Treston Fernandes shot the ball on target, completing his brace in the 30th minute. At the break Salcete Football Club were in the lead 3-0. In the second half Shanon Endro completed his brace for the winners in the 38th minute. Farhan Shaikh scored the lone goal for the losing team in the 44th minute.
CRSC Navelim registers narrow win
MARGAO: CRSC Navelim defeated Tilamola United Sports Club 2-1 in the GFA Under-13 League at Holy Trinity Ground, Benaulim on Tuesday. CRSC dominated the game, however, Tilamola United rocked the rival citadel in the very first minute with Relden Gomes giving them the lead. CRSC were a dominant lot with their forwards showing urgency and firing well sorties against the rival citadel and in the 26th minute, Kiean Rebello neutralised the lead with a snapshot. The equaliser boosted the morale of the Navelim team as they mounted tremendous pressure on Tilamola United and in the 53rd minute, Ethan Carvalho struck the match-winner.
