Sant Xavier Vidyalaya, Maina Korgao Pernem, won third place in the State Badminton U-17 Boys Championship organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.

They defeated Vivekanand Vidyalaya High School, Bori, Ponda 2-0. In the photo above, standing from left is Elveto Dsouza and Aditya Jadhav, sitting from left is the Head Boy Vincy Dsouza, coach Menino Dsouza, Headmaster Orlando Vaz, Physical Education Teacher Lakter Britto and the Head Girl Glenis Fernandes.

GFA senior women's team trials
PANAJI: The Goa Football Association (GFA) will conduct selection trials to select the Goa State senior women’s team on December 12 at Sinquetim ground, Navelim, from 8 am to 10 am for South Goa players and from 8 am to 10 am on December 13 at Parra ground for North Goa players. The selection trials are for all the players who could not participate in 6th GFA Vedanta Women’s League 2022-2023. The players need to report to coach Joao Rebello.

MARGAO: The Goa Football Association (GFA) will conduct GFA Under-14 Goa Girls League in the last week of January 2023. All the clubs intending to participate need to confirm their entry by December 26.

Bardez Veterans move into semifinals
MARGAO: Bardez Veterans scored a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Morjim Veterans to enter the semifinals of the Parra Veterans Cup football tournament played at PVC Parra ground. The all-important goal for Bardez Veterans was scored by Gavin Araujo. Romeo Pereira was adjudged as the Man of the match.
