SBT, BSNL to clash in finals

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and BSNL made it to the finals of AIPSSPB T-20 Tournament at GCA Academy grounds, Porvorim on Thursday.

In the first semi-final, SBT beat FCI by 57 runs. Winning the toss, FCI decided to field first. SBT put up a massive score of 217/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

Vinoop Manoharan was the highest scorer for SBT staying unbeaten on 90 from 58 balls. Akash Tomar, Shiva Singh, Pulkit Narang and Vibhu Tyagi took a wicket apiece for FCI. Chasing a stiff target, FCI could make only 160 in 19 overs.

Rajender Bisht was the highest scorer for FCI with 65 runs from 45 balls. In the SBT attack, Shahid C Payyarambalhir made merry snapping five wickets. In the second semi-final, BSNL defeat ONGC by six wickets. ONGC won the toss and decided to bat first and made 156/6 in 20 overs with Prashant Bhandari scoring an unbeaten 77 from 56 balls. Salil Yadav led the BSNL bowling attack, capturing three wickets.
