The two teams failed to score a goal during the 90 minutes of the game and in the four additional minutes after which the match went for extra time.
Both the teams made some attempts but Services either shot over the bar or shot wide from close range as they enjoyed the superiority.
Even the first 15 minutes of the extra time was wasted and it was at the fag end of game when a brilliant move by P Jain and Arjun Tudu saw a goal scoring opportunity but the Goan keeper Laxmikant Kattimani foiled the attempt. But in the process the ball rolled in the goal when a defender while trying to clear could not do so.Our reporter from Margao adds:“In football it is all about taking your opportunities and we did not take them today," Head Coach of the the Goan football team Alfred Fernandes told The Goan EveryDay on Friday .
“You have to score in order to win and today’s result point out that we need to head straight to the drawing board to rectify our errors,” he added.
