SFX, Camarxet trounced Corjem Youth Club 5-1 to romp into the quarterfinals of the Rumba United inter ward football tournament, organised by Rumba United at Church ground, Curtorim
on Wednesday.
SFX, Camarxet dominated the game and enjoyed the lion’s share of exchanges. Mevil Castana put Camarxet into the lead in the 18th minute. Spurred by the success, Camarxet intensified their attacks and doubled the lead when Cajie Viegas punted the ball to the far corner of the net in the 22nd minute.
Post resumption, Camarxet continued to enjoy total domination but their forwards wasted from close range. Corjem Youth Club managed to score a goal through Shanon. Unfazed, Camarxet went into the attacking mode and Cajie Viegas struck a second time to register his brace in
the 48th minute.
Crisly Fernandes put the issue beyond doubt when he beat the rival goalkeeper with a stiff shot before Brien Fernandes scored the fifth for Camarxet, 5-1.
