St Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Siolim, emerged winners at the State level in the inter higher secondary school sepaktakraw tournament, organised by the Directoriate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Peddem, Mapusa, recently.
They defeated Damodar HSS,Gudi-Paroda with 2-1. SFX HSS won the first set by 21-18. In the second set, Damodar HSS made a comeback and won by 21-18. In the final thriller, SFX HSS managed to hold their nerves and won the deciding set with a score of 21-18.
The team comprised of Prachit Naik, Sanford Fernandes, Kshitij Shetye, Elveto D'Souza and Dalwin Coelho. They were trained by PE Teacher Terryl Dias.
