Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club prevailed over Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club, Raia 5-3 via tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of All Goa Lourdes Festival football tournament organised by United Club of Utorda in association with SAG at SAG ground, Utorda.
Sao Jose de Areal started the game on a positive note and had a chance to surge ahead but David Colaco's snap shot was well blocked by the goalkeeper in the second minute. At the other end, Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club took time to settle down. However, once they struck the rhythm they called the shots against the rival citadel. In the penalty shootout, Frederick Colaco, Vishal Fernandes, Cheston Gomes, Alviton Silva and ​P​risco M​o​ura scored for Areal, while David Gomes, Joysthan Ca​rdoz​ and Lloyd Ca​r​d​o​zo found the mark for Gloria.
