A four-goal blitz by Irfan Yadwad helped Snow’s Football Academy, Raia maul Siddeshwar Sports Club 11-1 to win the GFA Under-18 League (Group B) title, at Rosary ground, Navelim on Monday. Meuton Fernandes and Danstan Fernandes also scored hat-tricks.
Right from the start, Snow’s showed their attacking intent and Meuton Fernandes opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Thereafter it was one-way traffic for Snow’s as they teased and tormented the rival defence at ease. Meuton Fernandes and Irfan Yadwad were relentless in attack and a goal looked imminent throughout. Irfan Yadwad increased the tally in the 16th minute. Two minutes later, Meuton Fernandes struck again. In the 19th minute, Danstan Fernandes added his name on the scorers’ list.
