Sporting Clube announce new signings

Sporting Clube de Goa has announced their squad for the AWES Cup football tournament along with some new signings.

The Flaming Oranje have roped in midfielders Peter Carvalho, Alesh Sawant and Girish Naik on loan from FC Bardez. They have also signed goalkeepers Melroy Fernandes (from Kenkre FC) and Ozen D'Silva (from Corps of Signal). Central defender Alton Vazfrom (Panjim Footballers) and striker Sunny Fernandes (Calangute FC) have also been signed up by the Panaji-based club.
In addition, the team has added a clutch of talented juniors either by promotion from junior squads or through new signings. Promising midfielder Daniel Lobo has joined the Goan heavyweights from Sesa Academy while goalkeeper Adney Fernandes comes on board from Penha de Franca. Defenders Kunal Kundaikar and Myron Fernandes, midfielders Desmond Pereira, Alston Camotio, and Joston Cardoz, along with striker Snedden Rodrigues are the six players promoted from the junior squad.
Meanwhile, players of last season like Joyner Lourenco, Subashish Bose, Kamaljit Singh, Ravi Kumar, Seriton Fernandes, Sumeet Passi and Harpreet Singh have all been released on transfer to Indian Super League teams, while Sunny Fernandes and Ponif Vaz are recovering from injury.

Derrick strike powers Salgaocar Veterans
