Sports Min tables report on grants, activities and expenses associated with GFDC

Goa’s Sports Minister Govind Gaude provided a detailed report on the activities, expenses, and grants associated with the Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) from January 1, 2020, to the present date. The report underscores the council's ongoing commitment to fostering football talent and promoting the sport across the state.

The GFDC has organiSed several football-related activities, camps, and workshops throughout the period. Here are some highlights:

Inter Media Football Tournament: Held at the Athletic Stadium in Cujira, Bambolim from January 19 to January 22, 2020. The event saw 140 participants, and the total expenditure was Rs. 13,330.

Summer Football Camps: St. John The Evangelist Church, Neura: From May 9 to May 31, 2022, with 52 participants, costing Rs. 10,500. Aivoa Youth Club, Caranzalem: From May 10 to May 25, 2022, with 23 participants, costing Rs. 9,525. Dream Logic Digital Services, Campal: From May 10 to May 31, 2022, with 70 participants, costing Rs. 40,187.

GFDC Coaches Football Workshops: Orientation Workshop: Held on January 23-24, 2023, and January 30, 2023, with 85 participants, costing Rs. 93,470. Football Workshop: Conducted at DSYA Quitla, Aldona and Fatorda Sports Complex between January 31, 2023, and March 31, 2023, with 81 participants, costing Rs. 16,510.

Additional Summer Football Camps: Majestic Youth Social Sports & Cultural Club, Sucorro: From May 1 to May 21, 2023, with 55 participants, costing Rs. 31,702. St. Ann's Institute, Agonda: From April 1 to May 11, 2024, with 60 participants, costing Rs. 36,150. United Club of Utorda, Utorda: From April 15 to May 4, 2024, with 75 participants, costing Rs. 33,045. Porvorim Visionaries, Porvorim: From April 20 to May 20, 2024, with 53 participants, costing Rs. 49,101.

Overall, the total amount spent on these activities and programs is Rs. 3,37,370.

This detailed report highlights the GFDC's commitment to promoting football in Goa through a variety of initiatives and shows the financial support received to sustain and expand these efforts.

Substantial grants received by GFDC over the years to support its activities:

From January 1, 2020, to March 31, 2020: Rs. 157.95 lakh

From April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021: Rs. 332.66 lakh

From April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022: Rs. 172.00 lakh

From April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023: Rs. 398.00 lakh

From April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024: Rs. 308.00 lakh

From April 1, 2024, to date: Rs. 198.67 lakh

In total, the GFDC has received Rs. 1,567.28 lakh in grants.
