In a bid to ensure the highest standards of safety and security for the upcoming 37th National Games Goa, Sports Minister Govind Gaude chaired an important meeting at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium on October 13.
This gathering included several key figures, including Swetika Sachan, Secretary (Sports) & CEO “ NGOC, Amitabh Sharma Chairman GTCC & Executive Council Member IOA.
The primary focus was to develop a comprehensive plan to safeguard all athletes, technical officers and spectators. This plan includes three crucial aspects: a robust security framework throughout the National Games, clear traffic routes to prevent congestion, and considerations for the regular movements of people within the state.
The minister has not only been committed to the successful organization of the event but has also placed a strong emphasis on ensuring the seamless facilitation and safety of the athletes throughout their entire journey, from their arrival in Goa to their departure.
Omvir Singh Bishnoi, IPS Inspector General Of Police, Abhishek Dhania, IPS Superintendent of Police - South, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Aslam Khan - IPS, Nidhin Valsan, IPS Superintendent of Police, Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Goa Police Department along with the agency that will be looking into the accommodation, catering and transport were also present.
