India settled for a silver after they lost the championship match to arch-rivals and top seeds Pakistan at the 19th Asian Junior Squash Team Championship (U-19) which concluded in Pattaya, Thailand on Sunday.
Veer Chotrani lost to Farhan Hashmi 3-2 before Utkarsh Baheti went down to Abbas Zeb 3-0. The two wins sealed the title for Pakistan and Goa’s Yash Fadte, who was slated to play Harris Quasim, did not get a chance
to play.
India had beaten Malaysia in the semifinals to set up the title clash with their sub-continental neighbours.
