Rosary College of Commerce and Arts defeated Government College of Commerce and Economics, Borda-Margao by 18 wickets in the Goa University inter-collegiate cricket championship, at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao, on Monday.
The toss was won by Government College Borda-Margao who elected to bat first.
The Margao college posted 111/10 in 20 overs. Tejas Kumar scored 19(8) while Bansil Pandya 15(8) were the main scrors in the innings. Drushal Kholkar (2/13), Abdul Ahmed: (2/26) and Yash Jugale (2/22) picked up wickets at regular intervals for for Rosary College.
In reply, Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim chased down the target in 14.3 overs. Abhijeet Rathore 47(28) and Ajay Raj: 37(34) were the top scorers for Navelim.
Tejas Kumar (1/11) was the only economical bowler for the Margao College.
In the second match, Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies won by 61 runs against Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora.
The toss was won by Sridora Caculo College who elected to bat first. They posted 147/8 in 20 overs. Anish Raul 40(40) and Saish Kerkar 25(16) laid the foundation for the management college. Sahil Naik (2/37) was the in-form bowler for Dharbandora.
In reply, Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora were bundled out for 86 runs in 16.5 overs. Siddhant Gawas 18(11) was the top scorer of the innings. Rajat Naik (3/20), Rudraksha Sangodkar (2/26) and Vaibhav Warang (3/10) were the pick of bowlers who shined out for Sridora Caculo.
