St Thomas HS (Cansaulim) defeated St Andrew's HS (Vasco) 2-0 in the finals of U-17 Boys Subroto Mukherjee football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (Mormugao Zone) at Naval School Grounds, Chicalim recently.
The first half ended in a goalless draw with both teams matching each other shot for shot. Both teams played their hearts out to break the deadlock as several goal-bound attempts were made at the goal. Goalkeepers had a field day and ensured that the teams trooped o
ut at half time with the score slate clean. The opening goal was scored by Anvil Costa four minutes before full time while Amanulle Fodekar scored the 2nd goal to make it 2-0.
