Salcete Young Saraswat Stallions were crowned champions of the 5th edition of Desserts N More Sarsangan Junior Boys Cricket Tournament at GCA ground, Sanguem on Sunday. The Stallions beat Saraswat Royals by 30 runs.
Individual prizes: Player of the finals - Samprabh Phaldesai, Man of the series - Aditya Dalal, Best batsman - Atchut Naik Dalal, Best bowler - Viraj Lad, Best fielder - Aniket Timble, Best wicketkeeper - Anish Prabhu Mahambrey, Youngest player - Ganesh Sadekar (13 years), Most energetic player - Krish Pai Khot, Spirit of cricket award - Gaurav Gaitonde; Winners - Salcete Young Saraswat Stallions, First runners-up - Tiswadi Antruz Bhatagram Young Saraswat Royals, Second runners-up - Curchorem Quepem Sanguem Young Saraswat Dynamites.
The prize distribution function was graced by Jagannath (Desh) Prabhudesai, Bhushan Prabhugaonkar, Manoj Hede, Anil Kamat, Dr Satyesh Kamat and Gomakant Mahambrey.
