Super Sports Club defeated Young Stars of Moula by four wickets in a low-scoring match at the GCA B Division Tiswadi Zone match played at SAG Ground, Campal on Wednesday.
Electing to bat, Young Stars of Moula were all out for a paltry 95 in 25 overs. Sujay Naik top-scored in the innings with 23. Naik forged a sound first wicket stand of 46 in 7.3 overs with Bhushan Sahashbude (18). From thereon, the innings just capitulated. In the Super Sports Club attack, off-break bowler abhijit Yadav impressed with 4/11.
In reply, Super Sports Club made heavy weather of the chase to get over the line with six wickets down in the 21st over. Opener Sahil Burle with a 31-ball 46 including two boundaries and five maximums played an influential hand in the win. For Young Stars of Moula, slow left arm bowler, Abhinandan Upadhyay stood out with 4/28.
