Tanisi Kirtani the Dempo goodwill ambassador won a triple crown, winning the Sub Junior, Junior and Ladies singles finals at the All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organised by Rotary Club of Panaji in association with the Sports Authority of Goa, at Indoor stadium, Campal. Wesley do Rosario bagged a double crown, emerging sub junior and junior boys singles winner. Dheeraj Rai who had earlier knocked out top ranked Adarsh P out was crowned men's singles champion. Sneha Rane and Shantesh Mhapsekar walked away with cadet girls and boys singles titles respectively while in the veterans doubles event, Sachin Soares and Joseph Duarte romped home victorious.
Kushal Krishna Resham, who represented Bharat (India) at the Special Olympics was the chief guest for the occasion. The young special athlete who won a gold medal in roller skating at the Special Olympics touched the hearts of one and all with his delightful inspirational speech. Victor Vaz, President of Special Olympics Bharat (Goa), Rushali Cardozo, Trustee, Special Olympics Bharat (Goa), Gaurish Dhond, Vice President, Goa TT Association, Shashank Mahatme, President of Rotary Club of Panaji and Sunil Parekh, Chief Tournament coordinator, graced the prize distribution function. The championship was officiated by Noel Estibiero (Chief Referee).
