Tarun Bharat beat Navhind Publications by nine wickets in the first semi-final. Goa Doot defeated In Goa by 46 runs in the second semi-final on Wednesday.
In the first semi-finals, Navhind Publications won the toss and batted first. But Navhind batsmen could only post a modest total of 57 runs, losing seven wickets in the allotted 10 overs. Austin Dias remained not out with 26 runs. Tarun Bharat’s Anil Bandiwadekar and Sagar Karbotkar picked up two wickets each. In reply, Tarun Bharat reached the victory target in 5.2 overs with nine wickets in hand. Anil Bandiwadekar scored 23 runs and was named man of the match. Sagar was unbeaten on 16 runs.
In the second semi-final, Goa Doot beat In Goa by 46 runs. Put in to bat, Goa Doot scored a huge total of 139 runs for three wickets. Vipul Pawar played a fantastic knock of 82 not out. He hit 10 fours and two sixes. Amar Pawar scored 25 runs. In Goa were restricted to 93 for the loss of six wickets, in their chase. Raj Pawar was the top-scorer with 22 runs. Amar Pawar and Santosh Kubal picked up two wickets each. Goa Doot’s opener Vipul Pawar was named man of the match.
Earlier in the morning, Goa Doot beat Herald Group by 35 runs. Put in to bat, Goa Doot scored 122/2 runs. Amar Pawar made an unbeaten 50 runs. He was named man of the match. Shubham Arolkar scored 30 runs. In reply, Herald could only make 87/2 in the allotted 10 overs. Anant Bakhale top-scored with 36 runs. He hit one six and four fours. Sarvesh Veluskar remained unbeaten on 27 runs. Shailesh Zantye scored 17 runs.
