Team Goa arrived in Oman for a pre-season tour as the squad steps up its preparations for the upcoming cricket season.
The team took to the field for a focused practice session under floodlights on Sunday, with the players working on their skills, combinations and match readiness ahead of Monday’s practice match.
The overseas tour provides the squad with an opportunity to adapt to different playing conditions while gaining valuable match practice ahead of the season. The players went through an intensive session, displaying good energy, discipline and a strong team spirit.
Speaking ahead of the practice match, Team Goa coach Dinesh Mongia said, “This tour is an important part of our preparation for the season. The conditions here in Oman will provide the players with a different challenge, and we want to make the most of every opportunity. Tonight’s session was about getting accustomed to the conditions, building our rhythm and making sure everyone is ready for tomorrow. The focus will be on playing good cricket, testing our combinations and taking the positives from the match. Creating an environment where the Goa Cricket Team can learn and have lots of fun while playing cricket is a primary goal for me as Head Coach. I want the players to enjoy the game, learn from every experience and continue to grow and evolve as cricketers.”
