Even as the FIFA World Cup 2018 ended, the excitement still continued for the lucky readers of The Goan Everyday. Celebrating the greatest game of the world, The Goan, in association with The Football Dug Out, had held the one of the biggest football screening events in Goa.
The event was well-received by the audience with turnout reaching 700, even on rainy days. Mahindra was the transport partner for
the event.
The excitement did not just end with the screening of World Cup matches. Oman Air joined in as flying partner for a special contest held by The Goan to make the World Cup even more memorable. As a part of the contest, the participants had to predict the scoreline before the match of the day and two lucky winners, who got the most number of predictions correct, would get a chance to fly to Istanbul.
The contest drew a tremendous response, and there were a total of 250 successful candidates. The winners had to be chosen by a draw of lots. At the end, Arlindo de Miranda and Narayan Naique emerged as winners, bagging the chance to visit Istanbul, Turkey.
