St Sebastian SC clinched a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Miracles SC in Thursday’s GFA Third Division League clash at Duler Stadium.
Sahil Jalmi and Anthony Viegas found the back of the net for St Sebastian, while Joaquim Pacheco scored a late consolation for Miracles.
St Sebastian controlled the first half, dominating the midfield and consistently threatening the opposition’s goal. Their efforts were rewarded around the 30-minute mark when Sahil Jalmi fired home to break the deadlock. Minutes later, Anthony Viegas capitalized on a chance to double the lead, giving St Sebastian a comfortable cushion heading into halftime.
In the second half, Miracles came out with renewed energy, pushing forward in search of a goal. They finally broke through in stoppage time when Joaquim Pacheco struck in the 93rd minute, sparking hopes of a comeback. However, it was too little, too late, as St Sebastian held firm to secure the win.
