Titans edge Tigers by 11 runs in final, lift Super Series title

Priority Titans celebrate after clinching the Sarsangan Priority Super Series title with an 11-run victory over Saraswat Tigers in the final at Arlem Cricket Ground.

Priority Titans clinched the Sarsangan Priority Super Series title with a thrilling 11-run victory over Saraswat Tigers in the final at Arlem Cricket Ground.

Batting first, Titans piled up 193/9 in 20 overs, powered by Durgesh Prabhugaonkar’s explosive 37 off 14 balls (5 sixes, 1 four). Sanat Prabhudesai added 31 off 22, while Swapneel Prabhu Nachinolkar (21), Animesh Prabhugaonkar (28) and Rauji Kakodkar (25) chipped in. Paarth Kossambe starred with the ball for Tigers with 3/18, while Kartik Hattangadi took two wickets.

In reply, Saraswat Tigers lost Deval Karmali for a duck in the opening over to Durgesh. However, brothers Neelay Naik Dalal (40 off 19) and Atchut Naik Dalal (35 off 29) revived the chase with a 65-run stand. Mehank Dharwadkar (28) and Sanat Mhapne (19) kept hopes alive before Kartik Hattangadi smashed 25 off 10 balls.

Needing 22 in the last over, Tigers were restricted to 10 runs by Sanat Prabhudesai as they finished on 182/7. Animesh Prabhugaonkar and Sanat Prabhudesai claimed two wickets each, while Nimay Kamat and Durgesh took one apiece.

Durgesh Prabhugaonkar was named Drogaria Colvalcar Player of the Final. Other award winners were Neelay Naik Dalal (Best Batter), Paarth Kossambe (Best Bowler), Kartik Hattangadi (Super Striker) and Animesh Prabhugaonkar (Impact Player).

Sanat Mhapne won Best Fielder and Best Catch awards, while Pratham Kossambe was named Best Wicketkeeper. Dr. Sagar Salgaocar won Best Bowler of the Series, Atchut Naik Dalal Best Batter of the Series, and Amod Borkar was adjudged Player of the Series for his all-round tally of 254 runs, 10 wickets and two catches.

The prizes were distributed by Saraswat Sports Sangh president Adv Satish Pilgaunkar in the presence of guests Sohan Juwarkar, Gaurish Burye, Swapneel Prabhu Nachinolkar and Dinesh Pai.
