The Bardez Taluka Chess Association and Saraswath Caculo College, Khorlim-Mapusa under the auspices of Goa Chess Association and Sports Authority of Goa will organise Under-25 Open State Chess Championship cum selections for National Under-25 Chess Championship at Anand Giri Keni Hall, Saraswart Vidyalaya Khorlim-Mapusa. The tournament will be held on July 30 & 31.
Players should report at tournament venue at 9 am. First round will start at 10 am on July 30. First two winners will be selected to participate in the U-25 Open National Chess Championship to be held at Guwahati, Assam from September 20 to 26. The participants must be resident of Goa born on or after January 1, 1991.
Cash prizes, trophies and medals worth Rs 17,000 will be awarded to top ten players. Two best unrated and two youngest players will be given prizes in boys and girls category. Copy of birth certificate along with entry fees of Rs 250 and GCA Registration fees of Rs 200 is to be submitted to the coordinators.
