MARGAO
Aaryavat Naik Desai of Canacona taluka drew with Aarav Prabhu Gaonkar of Salcete in the final round of the All Goa u-8 (Open) Chess Selection and Championship 2022 to win the first prize.
Skyla Rodrigues of Salcete beat Avani Sawaiker of Ponda to win the girls title. Ekang Malvanker of Bardez secured the second position in the Open section defeating Rishit Gawas of Mormugao. Aarav Prabhugaonker took the third position ahead of Shresth Ghonsekar of Mormugao.
The fifth position was secured by Cayden Gomes (Salcete) and Aditya Dublay (Salcete) took the sixth position. In the girls section, Muriel Fernandes (Salcete) took the third prize, while the fourth prize went to Dviti Fal Dessai of Quepem and sixth to Diya Naik of Salcete.
