UC Verna secured a dominant 3-0 victory over FC Siolim in the fifth match of the 2nd Mansion House Football Cup 2026, at the Cuncolim Government School Ground.
The first half was tightly contested. UC Verna created a notable chance in the 20th minute when Clifton Rebello charged towards goal, but the FC Siolim defence stood firm and thwarted the attack. The teams went into the half-time break locked at 0-0.
UC Verna shifted gears in the second half and quickly broke the deadlock. In the 44th minute, Clifton Rebello found the breakthrough, scoring past the FC Siolim goalkeeper to make it 1-0. A minute later, Joasla Fernandes doubled their advantage. The attacking momentum continued, and in the 58th minute, Roydon Rego found the back of the net to seal a comprehensive 3-0 win for UC Verna.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Clifton Rebello of UC Verna for his crucial opening goal and impressive performance. The prize was handed over by Savio Gomes, vice-president of Cuncolim Union.
