V Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira won the girls zonal title at the inter-HSS zonal badminton championship held at Indoor stadium.
In the finals, Dempo HSS defeated OL of the Rosary HSS Dona Paula 2-0. Earlier, Dempo got the better of Don Bosco HSS Panaji 2-0 whereas OL of Rosary HSS defeated Sharada Mandir 2-1.

Pinto Memorial TT from Sept 25
The 4th Dr Filipe Pinto Memorial All Goa Major Ranking table tennis tournament organised by Kabir Pinto Makhija in association with Clube Vasco da Gama will be held from September 25-29 at the club premises in Panaji.
The tournament will be held in the following categories: under-13 boys/girls, under-15 boys/girls, under-19 boys/girls, seniors men/ladies. The entries for the tournament can be submitted to Vishnu Kolwalkar on 9860384713 or Yusuf Shaikh on 8550904840 on WhatsApp only. The last date for the submission of entries is September 20.
Kavlekar to officiate in archery at National Games
Chetan Kavlekar, physical education teacher of V Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira has been selected as a technical official in archery for the 36th National Games to be held in Gujarat from September 28 to October 13.
Kavlekar, who is a State awardee in physical education has also officiated in the Commonwealth Games held at Delhi, National Games in Kerala and has also represented India at the Asian Grand Archery Championship held at Bangkok, Thailand.
Rasik Memorial badminton from Sept 23
Rasik Memorial Trust under aegis of Goa Badminton Association will organise State Badminton Ranking Tournament for Juniors (U-19) and Seniors (men & women), from September 23 to 25 (9.30 am onwards) at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim, Salcete.
Categories: Under-19 boys/girls and senior (men and women) in singles, doubles and mixed doubles events. Players born on or after 1/1/2004 will be eligible to play in the U-19 category. The senior category is open to all players. The registration can be done on or before September 20 at bit.ly/rasikmemorial2022.
