Churchill Brothers opened the scoring through Mannas Sarkar, but the Port Towners rallied back and scored two goals before the first half-half through John Nnanna (34) and Minesh Kunkolkar (36). Vasco SC scored two more goals in the second half through Schubert Pereira (52) and Franky Oliveriro (62).
After a couple of missed chances, the Varca club managed to score as Alber Gonsalves sent in a beautiful ball to Mannas Sarkar from the corner, and the striker made no mistake as he shot the ball home making it 1-0 for the Red Machines.
However, the joy was short-lived as Vasco came back stronger and put up a fight before they managed to level terms in the 34th minute as John Nnanna dribbled past a couple of defenders before slotting the ball past the rival keeper. The Port Towners soon doubled the lead through Minesh Kunkolkar as his goal-bound shot got a heavy deflection from Churchill Bros defender Rahul Kumar, sending the goalkeeper the wrong direction as the ball slammed into the nets in the 36th minute.
Churchill Brothers had a chance before the teams went into the breather. However, Joshuah Vaz's strike hit the post and bounced back into play. Post resumption, Vasco continued their momentum and scored yet another goal within six minutes into the second half through Schubert Pereira who dribbled past a couple of defenders and slammed the ball home making it 3-1.
