Velsao Sports and Cultural Club will look to end their winless streak when they take on depleted Vasco Sports Club in the GFA Professional league at GFA Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Thursday.
Velsao Sports and Cultural Club are yet to notch up their first victory in the league. The Velsao club coach Eban Mesquita said he is wary of Vasco Sports Club and predicts a tough game.
Mesquita said, “We have overcome the loss and now our focus is on the next match against Vasco Sports Club. We will do everything to get the desired result. I have full confidence in the team.”
When asked about the previous match against Dempo, he said the team was unlucky to lose the game despite dominating it.
Meanwhile, for Vasco Sports Club unavailability of key players like Neville and Sanwil D Costa will matter. red-carded in the previous match.
But coach Micky Fernandes said the team is ready to display a strong performance.
