Sattari Volleyball Premier League will be held at Thane, Sattari in January, 2019. The players’ auction for the volleyball tournament, organised with support of Sports authority of Goa and Goa Volleyball Association, was conducted at Govind Indira Hall at Valpoi.
Chief guest for the auction ceremony was Fati Gaonkar, ZP member, Keri, while Deepak Narvekar, vice-president of organising committee; Sarita Gaonkar, sarpanch, Thane, Sattari; Estev Andrade, president, Sattari Volleyball Club; Srinivas Deshpande, representative of EMRI 108 emergency services; Anand Gaonkar, secretary, organising committee; Petrison Andrade, commissioner of the league; Dinesh Karpe, president, Sattari Journalists Association; journalists Uday Sawant, Vishwanath Nene, Mahadev Joshi; Sarvesh Gaonkar, Thane panchyat secretary, and all club owners were present on the occasion.
Volleyball teams, Bhironda Blasters (Tereza Andrade), Dragon Hunter (Poirnima Sawant), Sky Boys Vante (Rajendra Gaonkar), Boom Boys Hivere (Sundar Gawas), Vagheri Royals Keri (Venkatrao Rane) and Colony Warriors (Sudhir Rane) participated in the auction process to pick their teams.
