Benaulim Veterans downed Cardozo Brothers 3-1 to move to the next round of 2nd Our Lady of Fatima Veteran football Cup, organised by Our Lady Of Fatima Sports and Cultural Club, Baida Chinchinim, at Our Lady Of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim, on Thursday.
In the first session of play, Benaulim scored through Edward Dias in the 10th and 14th minutes while Charles Da Silva netted a goal in the 17th minute.
Post resumption, Cardozo Brothers tried hard to come back in the game. In the last quarter of the match, Cardozo Brothers reduced the margin through Seby Leitao.
Benaulim Veterans Edward Dias was declared as the man-of-the-match award was presented by Menino Rebello.
