Bhago Boys won the 22nd Independence Cup 7-a-side one-day football tournament organised by Tembi Youth Club by defeating Kalia Macazana 7-6 via the tiebreaker and lifted the Tembi Youth Club Cup played at Tembi Curtorim Ground on Sunday. Marcus gave the lead for Kalia in the 7th minute while Alloyd equalised for Bhago Boys in the second half. In the tiebreaker, Bhago Boys proved to be better shooters.
Winners received Rs 35,000 and runners up collected Rs 25,000 plus trophies.
Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginald Lourenco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runner’s up in the presence of other dignitaries and club officials.
