CANACONA: Canacona Media Chasak, a three day extravaganza of All Goa tennis ball cricket tournament is on the anvil in Canacona.
The tournament will be organised by Navi Disha Publications will be played on knock-out basis on March 8 and 9, while both semi-finals and final matched will be played on March 10 at SAG ground (Agonda Sports Complex), Agonda. Canacona Taluka level team matches will be played on first day, while the second day matches will be played with State-level/Goa-level group, and two teams from each of the groups on either days will qualify to the semis which will be played on the third day in the morning, informed the organizers.
The winners and runners-up will receive trophies and cash prizes of Rs 1,11,111 and Rs 55,555 respectively while both losing semi-finalists will take-away a cash purse of Rs 22,222 each.
Individual prizes such as best batsman, best-bowler, man-of-the-tournament, and many more will be given away cash. The entries will be accepted latest by March 5.
