The Centenary Chess Club, in association with Shri Santosh Desai, Panch of ward number 1 Sancaole panchayat, successfully hosted the All Goa rapid chess tournament on Sunday. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from chess enthusiasts across the state, with a total of 44 trophies awarded to deserving players.
Emerging as the champion of the tournament was Rajveer Patil, a talented young player from Mormugao. Rajveer Patil displayed exceptional chess skills and remained unbeaten till the end of the tournament.
Joining Patil on the podium were Chaitanya Patil and Shinel Rodriguese, who clinched the first and second runner-up positions respectively. The tournament also witnessed impressive performances from Borkar Avnish, Narvekar Piyush, Kadam Vipul, Patekar Adarsh, D Souza Aaron, Gawas Rishit, and Gaonkar Prayank, who earned their places from fourth to 10th positions.
The event was graced by the presence of MTCA President Kishor Bandekar, Santosh Desai, Mukund Kambli, Secretary MTCA and Pundalik Nayak, Treasurer MTCA, who presented the trophies to the winners.
