Kuwait Goans made their presence felt when the expatriates took on a star-studded Chinchinim Veterans in an exhibition match played at Dramapur Sports Club ground. Chinchinim won the match 4-1.
Martin Gomes and Prestley were superb for Chinchinim and the former had a role in all the goals scored. Michael scored the lone goal for Kuwait. Although Kuwait lost, there was euphoria and enthusiasm among Kuwait-based Goans all across.
Prominent players who played for Kuwait included Britto Pereira (goalkeeper), Regi, Domnic (Shana), Joe Pereira, Michael, Gaby, Julio Cardoso, Anthony Fernandes. Kuwait played under the guidance of retired CRC Chinchinim (Kuwait) president Bosco Leitao.
