Clash against USC Kolkata considered a six-point match: Climax

MARGAO

Sporting Clube de Goa will aim to recover from the I League 2 loss when they take on United Sports Club Kolkata, at Bhadreswar ground, on Sunday.

Sporting clube de Goa have 4 points with one win, a draw and a loss from 3 matches while United Sports Club have 3 points with one win and two losses from 3 matches.

Sporting Clube de Goa Assistant coach Climax Lawrence said the match against the Kolkata outfit will not be easy. "United Sports Club are a team with great strength and distinguished players, and the game will be difficult for the two teams,” Lawrence said.

The assistant coach knows the importance of the match and noted that a win will be like gaining six points.

“We fully know the importance of this match, but it is more important for The Flaming Oranje, who will strive hard. Tomorrow’s match can be considered a six-point match, because winning it means increasing our balance by 3 points and deducting 3 points from United Sports Club. We are ready for this game," said Lawrence.

"When you are in a difficult situation, it is very difficult to get out of it, as some minor mistakes caused negative results, and the team deserved a better position than this in the table, but these difficulties exist and we seek to overcome them in the upcoming matches,” he added.

“The game will be at the same level of competition between Sporting Clube de Goa and United Sports Club with a different goal for each team. I expect the competition to be great and I hope to come out with a positive result, which is victory. The current situation of the team expresses itself and there must be responsibility and reaction from the team. I consider the these matches the most important,” Lawrence signed off.
