CRC Chinchinim got the better of Rossman Cruz Nagoa 4-2 to move into the quarterfinals of the 23rd All Goa Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side inter-village tournament played at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim.
In the second minute, Rossman could have taken the lead but a brilliant save by CRC Chinchinim keeper Sunny denied them. In the 17th minute, Chadel put Chinchinim ahead with a powerful shot. Savio Fernandes made it 2-0 in the 20th minute. The half time score was 2-0.
In the 37th minute, Jesby Moniz made it 2-1 for Rossman Cruz and in the very next minute, CRC Chinchinim scored their third goal through Savio who netted his second goal. In the 45th minute, CRC Chinchinim were reduced to a man down as Ryan was shown a second yellow card.
Rossman Cruz pressurised the CRC defence and netted a goal in the 61st minute through Fultacio Cardoz, 3-1. In the 65th minute, CRC made it 4-2 through Hyden. In the dying minutes, CRC Chinchinim goalkeeper made two brilliant goalline saves.
