Curtorim Gymkhana ousted host SSC Cavelossim 2-0 to enter the semifinals of the Cavelossim Panchayat Rolling Trophy Inter-village Football Tournament at Fr Druston and Wellington ground Cavelossim on Saturday. Cavelossim dominated the first half but poor shooting by Blayne and Darren prevented them from taking the lead. However, a pass from Vibrian was well controlled by Maven Gracias whose first-time shot was saved by Curtorim's Ignatius Gomes. On the other side, Joquim Carnerio's powerful try was tipped over the bar by Cavelossim keeper Aaren for a corner. In the second half, Curtorim mounted pressure and Joquim Carnerio gave them the lead by placing the ball from a tight angle, beating Aaren under Cavelossim's bar. Curtorim continued their offensive game and settled the matter when Joy Hilario took a snapshot from beyond the penalty area to seal a spot in the semis.
