Dambab 11, Dakshin Warriors clinch Daivadnya Cricket Cup

Dambab 11 and Dakshin Warriors emerged winners in the men's and women's categories in the 6th edition of Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association’s (AGDBYA’s) Daivadnya Cricket Cup which was held at SAG ground, Fatorda, recently.

Bardez Warriors and Mahamaya Kalika XI were the runners-ups of the respective categories.

A total of 17 teams from all over Goa took part in this tournament including 2 women’s team. The annual two-day event aimed to bring the people of the community together and gives the youth the platform to showcase their talent in cricket.

The concluding ceremony of the 2 days cricket event was attended by Milind M. Anvekar, Vice President, Open Destinations Infotech Pvt. Ltd as the chief guest while Harishchandra V. Madkaikar, DYSP, Goa Police was the guest of honour.

The winning team with the runner-up team and other individuals received trophies from the guests in a grand function The trophies received are as follows:

Man of the Series: Ayush Verlekar

Best Batsman: Ayush Verlekar

Best Bowler: Atharv verlekar

Man of the match for final: Deep Kasvankar

Best catch: Pradosh Walke

Maximum sixes: Ayush Verlekar

Best upcoming player: Om Bandodkar

Player of the match (Women’s): Snehal Walke
