Dempo Sports Club will look to build on their recent victory as they face Rajasthan United FC in the 12th round of the I-League at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
After ending a five-match winless streak with a 1-0 win over Delhi FC, Dempo will aim to continue their momentum and move further away from the relegation zone. Rajasthan, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last seven games and will look to extend that streak after three consecutive home matches.
Dempo’s head coach, Samir Naik, remains focused on the task at hand despite ongoing injury concerns with both foreign and Indian players. He emphasized the importance of focusing on one match at a time. "Each game has its own story, and we need to focus only on the next match," said Naik. "We need to work hard and prepare well to collect three points."
Dempo, currently in 8th place with 17 points from 12 matches, are hoping to continue their good form away from home. Rajasthan United, also in 8th place, have 16 points from 11 games.
Rajasthan United’s head coach, Walter Caprile Alanis, remains optimistic despite their recent loss. "We are playing good football, but we need to turn that into results," he said. "My team has been improving and creating more opportunities, and I’m confident we can pull off a positive outcome."
