Dempo SC recently hosted the AFC 'B' License Diploma Coaching Course at their Academy in Ella.
The 18-day program, which is divided into two modules, provided valuable hands-on coaching experience. The course featured dual daily sessions, with morning sessions focused on U-12 academy players and evening sessions for U-17 and U-19 squads.
Over the span of nine days, a total of 40 coaching sessions were held, offering the 30 participating candidates a wealth of knowledge from various experienced instructors. Notable participants included Dempo SC's own Snedden Medeira, Macan Pereira, and Sherwin DaCunha, along with several Goan football legends such as Bruno Coutinho, Alvito D’Cunha, Climax Lawrence, and Beevan D’Mello. The course also saw the participation of three female coaches from Goa, as well as Joy Gabriel from the Indian national team.
Other attendees included Climax Lawrence, Assistant Coach of Sporting Clube de Goa; Savio Vaz, Coach of Panjim Footballers; and Kusum Shaikh, Assistant Coach of Geno Sports Club.
The course was led by Vivek Nagul, with Pradhyum Reddy and Parthasarathy Thulasi serving as the lead instructors. Additional guidance was provided by John Kenneth Raj, Shekhar Kerkar, and Mariano Dias. The program successfully brought together a diverse group of participants, all keen to enhance their coaching skills and contribute to the growth of football in Goa.
