MARGAO
Divya Sawal delivered a commanding performance to clinch the title of Under-13 Girls Goa State Chess Champion, at a tournament organized by the World Junior Girls Chess Champion 2024, in collaboration with Mangirish Youth Club and Ponda Taluka Chess Association. The championship was held at V.D. & S.V. Wagle High School, Mangushi Mardol.
A student of Manovikas School, Margao, the talented 12-year-old showcased exceptional skill throughout the event. Born in Margao, Divya continues to impress with her growing list of achievements on the chessboard.
She is the daughter of Digambar Sawal and Dipali Sawal, a Councillor of the Margao Municipal Council.
