Dramapur Veterans downed Guirdolim Chandor Veterans 2-0 in an exhibition match, organised by St Joseph Boys Dramapur, at Dramapur Ground, on Friday.
Dramapur Veterans held the upper hand in the opening session and took the lead when Jayesh Pereira fired home in the sixth minute. Stung by the setback, Chandor Veterans tried to rally and Toefilio Dias' rasping shot was saved by rival goalkeeper Josely.
Franklin D'Costa scored the second goal for Dramapur Veterans from a header in the 16th minute to go into the break with a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Dramapur put down the anchor to repel Guirdolim/Chandor Veterans and protect the 2-0 lead.
Teofilo Dias of Guirdolim/Chandor Veterans was named as the best player, while Jayesh Periera of Dramapur Veterans won the first scorer of the final award.
