Varca Veterans thrashed GGL Veterans Tiswadi 4-1 to move into the semi-finals of the 1st all-Goa UK/US Boys veterans soccer tournament, organised by Mix Friends Benaulim, at Xembu Moll ground, Benaulim.
Nothing went right for Tiswadi Veterans as they fell behind in the first minute when Varca's Henry's shot went past goalkeeper Yeshwant Naik. That goal gave energy to Varca and they increased the lead in the 18th minute before Herculan added the third goal for Varca five minutes before the break.
After the change of ends, substitute Selvin added his name on the scoresheet for Varca. Tiswadi reduced the margin through Francis Goes in the dying minutes.
