Dunes SC secured a place in the semifinals of the Nerul Cup 2025, organized by Nerul Sports Club, with a convincing 2-0 victory over Candolim SC.
Candolim SC started the match on the front foot, launching a series of attacking moves and maintaining strong possession. Despite their dominance, an unfortunate own goal by Candolim's Anuj in the 25th minute handed Dunes SC an early lead against the run of play.
In the second half, Dunes SC regained control and increased their attacking intensity. Their efforts were rewarded in the 48th minute when Omkar Shetgaonkar found the back of the net, doubling their lead. Candolim SC pushed hard to get back into the game, but Dunes SC’s defense held firm, denying any clear chances.
Omkar Shetgaonkar of Dunes SC was named Man of the Match for his crucial goal and commanding performance.
